My initial interest in graphics started early on as a young teen when I drew cartoon characters from favorite books. Fast-forward a few years and I was in an European typical training and learned technical drawing in mechanical engineering over several years. Somehow after that I ended up in a Media Design training in the early 2000's and still do that today. 

Hi, I am Tanja, a native German living in SoCal. In my work, I like to support small businesses and entrepreneurs, meaning that I love to bring their passion into a design representig their company. My creations follow the client's ideas paired with current styles and my earned experience over the years.

Logo Design

Whether you want a more graphic, static, playful or straight design, almost every idea can come to live. It should be clear and recognizable to the audience, but it should also showcase your business. It's always good to know where the logo will be placed, as for some printed or embroidered products, not all line width or curves can be easily achieved.

Print & Web Design

From your well designed business cards, marketing flyer or restaurant menu to web banner and social media header. All products should complement each other for an even appearance. The files will be handed out to you in print-ready versions and properly sized .jpeg files. And when you wish, the printing itself can be coordinated as well.

Website Building

You can choose an affordable business website with a one-page design that has all information in one place.

Or you go with a multi-page design that dedicates every page to a topic and keeps the scrolling per page usually low.

There is also the option for added e-commerce products. This requires a deeper setup and more work in the backend, depending on how your product catalogs look like.

* How do we get the project started?

After you booked a service you'll be given a questionnaire to fill in some required facts. As soon as you have submitted these information we'll schedule the briefing call very soon after to talk deeper about your needs.

* How long does a project take?

Logo and business card designs can be done within 5-10 business days after all details are set. Websites can take 3-5 weeks depending on communication, your needs and work load.

* I have no domain yet, can you help me set everything up?

Sure. There are different providers out there with options to start your website depending on your needs. From domain with email only, over a simple one-pager, a full multi-page website or even an online-shop. Some facts need to be considered upfront before you choose your hosting provider.

* Can you add more webpages or a store to my design?

Yes, there are options to expand your page. But they vary with the choice of your hosting provider and can come with a higher priced plan.

* Do I own my website after you've designed it?

Yes, of course. Once the project is done, you receive all account details with our coaching call. You can then change the content and maintain the page yourself.

* Can you work on my existing website account?

Of course. The easiest way is to grant me access. For instance, when you run your current site on GoDaddy, you can 'Delegate Access' in your 'Account Settings' and add another person for this purpose.

* Which platforms do you work with?

When my client wants to have more flexibility with plug-ins & structure, I usually build the websites directly in WordPress. Others prefer simplicity and easy maintance and we choose to create a website with an integrated website builder. The providers I work with for both options are mostly GoDaddy and Hostinger.

* Can I book an hourly service?

For a customized print or web design project you can book 'Design Work' by the hour. To determine the scope of your project please contact me for a quote.
